Zach is a soft-spoken teen who spends his days alone. After his first sexual experience with a stranger, he is left feeling used and violated.
We were shooting in a house in Dobbs Ferry, a town just outside of Manhattan on the Hudson River. I took the train to set from Connecticut late at night and slept in the same bed that I would shoot my scenes in the next morning. I only had a half dozen lines but a lot of gazing pensively into the distance.
This shoot also took me to Hoboken, NJ for the first time, a city with which I now have a small obsession.
